Current Research Projects

The CERIPH research team aims to build evidence and capacity in health promotion theory, practice and evaluation through applied and participatory research.

The CERIPH staff are innovative and active contributors to national and international health promotion research. The research team has expertise in the development, implementation and evaluation of intervention research in the following key areas; nutrition and physical activity, older adults, sexual health and sexuality, alcohol and other drugs, mental health and environmental and community health.

  • Parent infant feeding initiative (PIFI): A study to enhance breastfeeding duration (2013-2016) (2010-2015)
  • To identify epigenetic biomarkers of congenital heart defects in a family based epidemiology study (2014-2016)
